How to configure the MXT MXT-141 device via SMS

This guide shows how to connect the MXT MXT-141 tracker to the platform using SMS commands. Send each command from the SIM card installed in the device, in the order indicated below.

1. Carrier APN Configuration

It is essential to correctly configure the carrier's APN, as well as the username and password, since these details vary according to the chip supplier and the carrier used. Make sure to enter the correct information to ensure the device's connectivity.

2. Transmission Interval Definition

The transmission interval can be adjusted to 60 seconds while the ignition is on and 55 minutes (3300 seconds) when the ignition is off. This setting is important to optimize battery consumption and device efficiency.

3. Position Request via GPRS

To request the device's position via GPRS, use the command below. This functionality allows you to obtain the real-time location of the tracker.

5. SMS Commands

SMS commands allow you to perform various actions on the device. For the examples, the SMS password considered is 0000 and the module ID is represented by the last 7 digits of the tracker ID. See below the list of available codes.
