How to configure the MT Topten MT05 device via SMS

This guide shows how to connect the MT Topten MT05 tracker to the platform using SMS commands. Send each command from the chip installed in the device, in the order indicated below.

SMS Commands

1. DNS and Port Configuration

It is essential to use a domain DNS to ensure the correct communication of the device. The recommended servers are as follows: for all cases, use the same address. Server 01, 02, and 03 should be configured to the same URL, which is central.trackar.com.br on port 6216.

2. Carrier APN Configuration

The APN configuration is crucial and must be adjusted according to the carrier used. Each carrier may have a specific APN name, username, and password. Make sure to enter the correct information to ensure the device's connectivity.

The communication time with the ignition on can be configured in seconds. The default interval of 60 seconds is recommended for regular data transmission. Adjust as needed to meet your requirements.

Similarly, the communication time with the ignition off is configurable in minutes. An interval of 55 minutes is suggested to save battery while the vehicle is not in use. Adjust as necessary.
