How to configure the MT MT88 device via SMS

This guide shows how to connect the MT MT88 tracker to the platform using SMS commands. Send each command from the SIM card installed in the device, in the order indicated below.

SMS Commands

1. DNS and Port Configuration

To ensure proper communication of your tracker, it is essential to correctly configure the DNS and the port. We recommend using the domain's DNS, as per the servers listed below.

2. Carrier APN Configuration

The APN configuration is fundamental and must be carried out with the correct information, which varies according to the chip and the carrier. The following definitions are examples that can be used.

SET APN=ALLCOM.BR:ALLCOM:ALLCOM

SET APN=JBGPRS.ALGAR.BR:ALGAR:ALGAR

SET APN=META.COM.BR:VIVO:VIVO

SET APN=SMART.M2M.VIVO.COM.BR:VIVO:VIVO

Make sure to replace the APN, username, and password information as needed.

3. Communication Time with Ignition On

The communication time while the ignition is on can be adjusted in seconds, allowing you to set the transmission frequency according to your needs. The default interval is 60 seconds.

4. Communication Time with Ignition Off

Just like with the ignition on, the communication time with the ignition off is adjustable, but in minutes. The default is 55 minutes, allowing for an adequate transmission interval even when the vehicle is not in operation.

These settings are recommended to optimize the performance of the tracker.
