How to configure the Concox EV02 device via SMS

This guide shows how to connect the Concox EV02 tracker to the platform using SMS commands. Send each command from the chip installed in the device, in the order indicated below.

SMS Commands

1. Time Zone Configuration

To ensure the tracker functions correctly, it is essential to set the time zone. The command must be sent to adjust the device's time to GMT.

GMT,W,0,0#

2. Update Interval Adjustment

The update interval can be set in seconds. The first value (X) determines the transmission interval while the vehicle is in motion, and the second (Y) while it is stationary. This adjustment is crucial for optimizing data usage and tracker efficiency.

TIMER,20,20#

3. Angle-Based Update

The tracker can be configured to update its location based on a specific angle. For example, by setting an angle of 30 degrees and a detection time of 2 seconds, the tracker will update its position whenever these parameters are met.

ANGLEREP,ON,30,2#

4. Heartbeat Configuration

The heartbeat is a feature that allows adjustment of the tracker’s transmission interval. The first value indicates the time in minutes with the ignition on, and the second, the time with the ignition off. This helps save battery when the vehicle is not in use.

HB,1,55#

5. Server and DNS Configuration

For the tracker to function correctly, it is necessary to configure the server and port. The command should include the information of the server being used for tracking.

6. Carrier APN Configuration

Configuring the APN is essential for the tracker to connect to the carrier's network. It is important to enter the correct APN, username, and password information, as they vary according to the chip provider and the carrier used.
