How to configure the Coban TK103-2 device via SMS

This guide shows how to connect the Coban TK103-2 tracker to the platform using SMS commands. Send each command from the SIM card installed in the device, in the order indicated below.

1. Start of tracker configuration

To start configuring your Coban TK103-2 device, send the start command with the administrator password. This step is essential to ensure that you have full access to the functionalities of the tracker.

It is essential to adjust the time zone of the tracker so that the location information is accurate. Use the specific command to set your desired time zone.

5. Tracking Mode

Activate the tracking mode of the device so that it starts sending location information. Use the specific command to enable this functionality.

For the tracker to send location data, it is necessary to enable GPRS transmission. Use the command below to activate this function.

7. Force GPRS transmission

If it is necessary to force data transmission via GPRS, use the following command. This can be useful in situations where communication is not occurring as expected.

8. Smart tracking mode

Configure the smart tracking mode that saves chip data. The tracker adjusts the transmission frequency according to the vehicle's state, sending information every 60 seconds when on and every 55 minutes when off.

9. Position sending by angle

Adjust the angle for sending the tracker’s position. The command allows you to set a specific angle, noting that some versions do not accept leading zeros.

If your line has active SMS return and receives the warning: format error only support 3 digits, use the command without the leading zero, for example: angle123456 20.

10. Activate fuel sensor status

Activate the fuel sensor status to improve the transmission of the digital sensor information from the tracker. The following command enables this function.

11. Turn on Data Saving

Activate data saving so that the tracker stops sending the position when the vehicle has been stationary for more than 10 minutes. It will resume sending information when movement is detected or an alarm is triggered.
